In Chengdu Motor Show 2014 event in China, 30 August, officially launched the All New Kia K4. The car is designed specifically conformed to the Chinese domestic consumer mindset. With a more modern design and bold, and with characteristic KIA, "tiger-nose", the car offers the right choice for consumers in China.
With 2 types of light gasoline engine "NU", 1.8 L and 2.0 L, the car offers good performance, fuel-efficient, as well as characteristics of the Noise, Vibration and harshness.
For the 1.8 L engine, capable of generating power up to 143 ps and 176 Nm of torque, while the 2.0 L engine, capable of generating power up to 155 ps and 192 Nm of torque. Both engines are already adapted to the automatic 6-speed manual transmission.
K4 has a length of 4.7 m, height of 1,465 mm, overall width 1,815 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,770 m. K4 is one of the longest car in its class. With that, K4 gives more space for front and rear passengers.
For convenience features, K4 is equipped with a Heated Steering Wheel, Rear Air Ventilation, Smart-Key, High-Clarity TFT-LCD Instrument Cluster, heated seats front and rear, as well as telematics system that has been designed to work with smartphones.
As for the safety features, K4 is equipped with six air bags, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). In addition, K4 bodyshell is manufactured using 50% of ultra tensile steel which will give a high level of passive safety for the driver, and also ensures a five-star safety rating in C-NCAP.
With the launch in China, K4 will set a new standard for the compact car segment of the market with premium quality, as well as contributing to continuing to improve the quality and expand the customer network.
