Having previously launched the 208 series FE Hybrid Concept at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, now, at the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot introduced a new series, 208 Hybrid Water 2L.
What is unique about this car is the hybrid drive system is equipped with a 1.2 L gasoline engine combined with a motor Puretech actuated pressurized air. To combine these resources, a hydraulic system is placed in the transmission which also functions as a regulator of the automatic transmission.
With this system, the driver just choose propulsion mode, water mode, mode Petrol and alloys of both modes.
As general criteria hybrid car, the Peugeot 208 Hybrid Water 2L requires only 1 liter of fuel consumption for a distance of 50 km.
